I've got friends feeding 1,000watts rms to their overpriced subs that can't hit nearly as loud or as deep as this kappa that's only getting 400w rms. The only downside is that it's a big sub. In a standard box you wouldn't have any trouble but I needed to have my custom box (custom built to fit in a factory Bose sub's enclosure in my car) modified to accept this thing's large magnet and giant, heavy-duty cage.

These subs are a good sub for the money. You can't find many subs that allow you to chose the impedance. In pairs or in singles this really makes it a versatile sub for wiring up with different amplifier configurations. I had it hooked up for a while on only 350 watts and it produced intense low end impact with good authority in the 50 - 80 hz range. I wouldn't hesitate to run these subs in my vehicle and will probably find them in my rear deck at some point running infinite baffle.

I bought this subwoofer about a month ago and it has proved itself greatly. I have the sub in a custom made sealed box with about 1 cubic foot of air space. As of right now i have the sub hooked to a 350 watt Kenwood amp and you can tell its under powered but still sounds amazing. I cant wait to get my KAPPAFIVE amp all hooked up and power this woofer and all my components with it, should sound professional.
